Grease a 9&#215;13 inch baking pan.<br>In a bowl, mix flour, salt, and baking soda. Set aside.<br>In another bowl, blend melted butter, brown sugar, and white sugar until well combined. Add the egg, egg yolk, and vanilla extract, mixing well.<br>Gradually blend in the dry ingredients until just combined. Stir in the chocolate chips and walnuts.<br>In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the caramel candy with heavy cream, stirring until smooth.<br>Press half of the cookie dough into the prepared pan. Pour the melted caramel over the dough, then drop the remaining dough in spoonfuls over the caramel.<br>Bake for 25-30 minutes.
