With cake mix, butter, cream cheese, and powdered sugar in the ingredients, you cannot go wrong. The hardest part will be waiting for them to cool!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And  what makes this recipe even more appealing?\u00a0 It\u2019s super-duper easy and\u00a0anybody\u00a0can make it.\u00a0My kids make it all the time!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Plus, you probably have the ingredients on hand.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Make these today.&nbsp; Or this weekend.&nbsp; Or for your next potluck \u2013 you\u2019ll be everybody\u2019s hero!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This recipe has been around forever with my family.&nbsp; And it has at least a dozen different names and as many variations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ingredients<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>For Crust:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>1 box yellow cake mix, dry (not prepared)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>8 Tablespoons butter (melted)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>1 egg<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Gooey Layer:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>8 oz. cream cheese (softened)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>2 eggs (beaten)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>16 oz. powdered sugar<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">How To Make Ooey Gooey Bars<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In a medium bowl, combine cake mix, melted butter and egg. Mix until smooth and well combined.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pat and press dough evenly over the bottom of a greased 9\u00d713 baking pan. Set aside.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>In a separate large bowl, beat and cream the cream cheese. Add the eggs and beat until smooth for a minute or two. Add powdered sugar and continue to beat until well combined.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pour over crust and bake at 350 degrees F for about 25-30 minutes or until done.
