Flol (beef soup with wheat dumplings in Armenian)





Beef 300 grams

Water 6 cups
wheat flour 1/2 cup
Wheat cereal 2 Art. spoons
onion 1 piece
melted butter 1 st. a spoon
spinach 200 grams
tomato puree 1 st. a spoon
ground black pepper 1 pinch
salt to taste



Beef washed, cut the tendon and the film, put in hot water and cook at low boil.


The cooked broth, meat cut into portions.


Flour mixed thoroughly with boiled barley, add salt, 1/2 cup water, knead the dough.


To cut the dough into small balls (flol) the size of a cherry.


Onions chop, fry in butter, add the tomato puree, put out 5-7 minutes.


In the hot broth add the pieces of meat, onion, coarsely chopped spinach, salt, pepper and cook for 10 minutes. Then put in flol broth and cook until until they float to the surface of the soup.
